here i am, world. this is daniel matthews reporting for duty! first off, let me give my congratulations to the new eighteen year old. what a time to be young. relish the time, i say, for it will soon be just a distant memory.

more onto hopeful matters: i am the new drama teacher and am very eager to meet all of you. although this is probably the last place you want to be sent to, lets make the most of it, shall we? and no, i don't like capitalizing. i prefer my lowercase letters, thank you. i'm not a english or language teacher so really, it doesn't matter anyway.

the headmaster has explained the rules to me and while i'm not the strictest of teachers, i am a rule-follower. i don't break the rules, unless its dire and necessary. i don't condone most of the activity that goes on around here but that doesn't mean i'm going to go out of my way to punish you all. frankly, i don't want to waste my time telling you what to do and what not to. i have a life, you know.

speaking of that, my bed's looking rather lonely. i'll have to remedy that. and soon, i hope.
